To ensure our valued guests make the most of their day, we have scheduled our departure times to start our enjoyable exploration journey with the participation of our guests from all departure points. With our luxury buses and in-vehicle breakfast, we will arrive at Keçeçizade Production Factory, where Edirne’s famous Almond Paste and Kavala Cookies are produced, after approximately three and a half hours of travel. Here, we take a break for our needs and a short shopping break where guests can purchase these delicious products. While watching the production of Almond Paste and Kavala Cookies, we will taste them and also try local specialties offered to us. After some free time, we arrive at the first stop of our Edirne trip, the Selimiye Mosque, a masterpiece of Mimar Sinan, and complete our visit with the guidance of our tour guide. We also explore Ali Paşa Bazaar, where we can find handmade fruit soaps and decorative brooms, as our next stop. We go to our restaurant to have Edirne’s famous Fried Liver for lunch (extra). After lunch, we head to the Beyazıt Mosque Complex, built by II. Beyazıt, where we visit the mosque, madrasah, asylum, tabhane, and soup kitchen built in the 15th century. After touring the Complex, which includes the award-winning History of Medicine Museum from the European Union, we head towards Sarayiçi, the site of the Kakava Celebrations filled with entertainment. We participate in the 'Hıdırellez (Welcoming the Spring of Hz. Hızır and Hz. İlyas) Ceremony.' According to Islamic belief, Hz. Hızır and Hz. İlyas meet every May 5th, and the world turns green on that date, marking the end of winter and the preparation for summer with the arrival of spring. We also welcome spring along with you in the atmosphere of this fantastic culture and make wishes during the "KAKAVA CELEBRATIONS." In the celebration, we will jump over the largest Kakava fire three times, according to the beliefs of the region, and enjoy our free time for approximately 2 hours. After this fun activity filled with unforgettable memories, we begin our journey back to Istanbul around 18:00, bidding farewell to Edirne. With our arrival in Istanbul, we look forward to seeing you at another unique Turperest event and bid farewell to our valued guests at the departure points where we picked them up.
