After our night journey, with Turperest, we head to Love Valley early in the morning with the rising hot air balloons where we watch the magnificent scenery created by balloons at sunrise. You can immortalize this moment by taking unforgettable photos in this spectacular atmosphere. After our Balloon Viewing tour, we proceed to the Pottery Workshop. Here, our master will explain and demonstrate pottery making from ancient times, and then our guests will have a chance to create their pottery piece under his entertaining guidance. After getting information about the products from our master, we allocate time for shopping. You can make your purchases of pottery and souvenirs here. After our shopping, we gather back on the bus and head to one of Cappadocia's fun activities, where we will drop off guests who wish to do an ATV tour. (Extra) Those who do not participate in the ATV tour will have the chance to take photos and enjoy tea and coffee in the area. After our time is up, we gather guests returning from the ATV tour and head to Dervent Valley, also known as the Dream Valley. The reason for this name is that you can shape the fairy chimneys according to your imagination and compare them to various figures. After our guide shows us the fairy chimneys resembling a dancing bride and groom and a sitting camel, we take a short photo break. After our photo break, we board the bus again for a visit to a shop where you can find pumpkin seeds roasted with milk, native delicacies, and many other varieties unique to the Cappadocia region. After our short shopping break, we move towards Pigeon Valley, where you can capture magnificent photos combined with the Nazar and pottery trees. After our break, we head to the restaurant for lunch. After our lunch, we move to the Onyx Stone Workshop. We will see how onyx stones and gemstones extracted from volcanic Cappadocia are processed. After the workshop visit, we allow a shopping break for guests who wish to shop. After completing our shopping, we get back on the bus and head to our hotel for dinner and accommodation.
Guests wishing to do so can participate in an extra Turkish Night event after dinner. (Extra)
Turkish Night: For the Turkish Night event, we will board our bus at a time designated by our guide and head to our cave restaurant carved into the rock where the event will take place. Day 3: Underground City – Selime Cathedral – Salt Lake
On the last day of the Cappadocia Tour with Turperest, we will head to the Underground City after having breakfast at our hotel. We will explore the underground city known for its approximately 4500 years of history, architectural features, and purposes of use with our guide. You will be amazed at every step of this underground city, which housed thousands of people. The underground city was originally constructed during the Hittite era and transformed into a city during the Roman and Byzantine periods by carving other areas out of the tuff rocks. After our exploration of the underground city, we board the bus and head towards Selime Cathedral. The cathedral, with its caravansaries, churches, and fairy chimneys, is a favorite spot for tourists visiting Cappadocia. Selime has been home to the Hittites, Assyrians, Persians, Romans, Byzantines, Danişmendids, Seljuks, Karamanids, and Ottomans. The Orthodox believers in the region were obliged to comply with decisions made in the Selime Cathedral and Monastery, and the presence of keys marked with crosses indicates the historical importance of this place. One significant feature of the Selime Monastery is that it served as an education center for clergymen in the region. Meetings related to the area and military headquarters were also located here. The first high volume prayer was held at the Selime Cathedral. Selime is the largest monastery in Cappadocia. The Selime Monastery Church is among the largest religious establishments in Cappadocia. After our visit to Selime Cathedral, we board the bus and take a lunch break at Aksaray rest areas, and after our lunch break, we continue towards the Salt Lake. Salt Lake is the second largest lake in Turkey and the second saltiest lake in the world. It meets 70% of Turkey's salt needs. The average depth of Salt Lake is below 50 cm. In Salt Lake, there are 85 species of birds, 129 species of insects including 4 endemic, 15 mammals, and 38 species of endemic plants inhabit the region. After our visit to Salt Lake, we conclude our Cappadocia Tour with Turperest and start our return journey. We will drop off our guests at the designated spots and bid farewell until we meet again in the next Turperest organization.
