Day 1: Istanbul - Madrid - Toledo - Granada
We meet at Sabiha Gökçen Airport International Terminal, 3 hours prior to our flight for baggage check-in, ticketing, and passport control. We fly to Madrid on Pegasus Airlines flight PC 1099, departing at 09:15. Arriving in Madrid at 11:50 local time, we head towards Toledo and, upon arrival, we organize our panoramic city tour. Founded by Jews in 590 B.C., Toledo is known as the "City of Knights" and has a rich historical and cultural significance as one of Spain's most important cities where people of three major religions cohabit peacefully. The longest river of the Iberian Peninsula, the Tajo, runs through the city. The city was the capital of the Spanish Kingdom for a long time and has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List due to being one of the largest medieval cities in the world. Don Quixote's author, Cervantes, was born in this city. On our tour, we will see the Toledo Cathedral, which took approximately 270 years to build, is considered one of the top three important cathedrals in the world and houses some of the world's most expensive works, as well as San Martin Bridge, Damasquinos (Damask work), workshops and shops of gold craftsmanship. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel in the Granada region and have free time to rest.
Day 2: Granada - (Alhambra Palace) - Cordoba - (Mosque & Cathedral Tour) - Sevilla - (Flamenco Show)
After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, we will have our city tour in Granada. Located at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Granada is one of Spain's most touristic cities. Significantly influenced by the Romans and Umayyads throughout its rich history and home to the Alhambra Palace, our panoramic tour will include sights in the historical Andalusian/Granada streets, such as the statue of Queen Isabelle and Christopher Columbus, Grand Via, La Rambla, and the City Hall square. After the city tour, there’s free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Alhambra Palace Tour (65 Euros), where we will see the remarkable UNESCO World Heritage-listed Alhambra Palace, renowned for its Arabesque architecture, fountains, and gardens. "Entry fee included" (depends on the palace's availability, harem entry not included). After the tour, we move to Cordoba. Guests interested may join the Mosque & Cathedral Tour (45 Euros). During this tour, we will visit the Mosque & Cathedral, “entry fee included.” It is one of the three largest mosques in Islamic history and one of the two greatest examples of Spanish Moorish heritage, serving as the Catholic church today. After exploring the grand mosque, we will have a panoramic city tour of Cordoba, which was the largest city in Europe in the 10th century under Islamic rule. The city center, which has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1984, will showcase the Alcazar De Los Reyes Cristianos, Royal Palace, and Roman Bridge among other sites. Upon completing our visit to Cordoba, we head to Sevilla. Once in Sevilla, free time will be provided where guests may join the optional Flamenco Show (60 Euros), an internationally renowned performance known as the outcry of the lower class towards the upper class where dance expresses emotions. After the show, we transfer to our hotel in the Sevilla region for free time to rest.
Day 3: Sevilla - Lisbon
After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, we head to the city center of Sevilla for our city tour. The most populous and developed city in Andalusia, Sevilla owes its rich cultural history to the period of the North African Muslims known as Moors. We will have a panoramic city tour filled with beautiful and splendid cathedrals, squares, palaces, museums, towers, and churches. During the tour, we will visit Plaza de Espana, where some scenes from Star Wars 2 were filmed, the Torre del Oro (Golden Tower), and the Sevilla Cathedral, the third largest Gothic cathedral in the world, recognized by UNESCO World Heritage List since 1987, along with Giralda Bell Tower and Maria Luisa Park. After the city tour in Sevilla, we move towards Lisbon. Upon arrival in Lisbon, we shall conduct a panoramic city tour. Lisbon, the capital of Portugal and the sixth most visited city in Europe, has been governed by the Phoenicians, Romans, North African Muslims, and finally the Portuguese throughout history. With its history tracing back to 1200 B.C., Lisbon houses many historical buildings. During our panoramic city tour, main sights include Rossio Square and the historic part of the city with St. George's Castle, and later we will have free time for photos. We will visit Belem Tower and the Discoveries Monument, which were built during the age of geographical discoveries and hold symbolic value for Portugal. After a photo break, we will also explore Avenida de Liberdade, known as Lisbon's Champs-Élysées, famous for its cafes, quality shops, and restaurants. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. After checking in, have free time to rest.
Day 4: Lisbon - (Big Lisbon and Atlantic Coast Tour) - Obidos - Porto – (Fado Show)
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we head to Obidos. Guests who wish may join the optional Big Lisbon and Atlantic Coast Tour (80 Euros). The first stop of the tour will be Sintra, famous for its boutique shops, colorful palatial houses, and cobbled streets. Its most significant feature that ensured its UNESCO World Heritage recognition is the architectural monuments from the Romantic period. After exploring Sintra’s castle and churches, our next stop will be Cabo da Roca, aka “Where the World Ends,” the westernmost point of the European continent. After a short break for photos at the famous surfing beaches, the tour continues with panoramic visits to Cascais, a fishing village, and Estoril, renowned for its spas, thermal hotels, parks, golf courses, and represented in the first Bond novel, Casino Royale. After the tour, we will continue our journey to Obidos. In the medieval town of Obidos, surrounded by walls, we will explore the Roman heritage of its Castle, St. John the Baptist Church, and Rua Direita, the town's main street, which attracts the most visitors. After the Obidos tour, we head to Porto. Upon arrival, we conduct a panoramic city tour where we will see the 1st Dom Luis Bridge, designed by Gustave Eiffel, Douro River, Porto Ribeira, Porto Cathedral, Porto Square, Lion Fountain, Liberty Square, and Sao Bento Train Station, famous for its blue and white ceramic mosaics as well as Bolsa Palace. After the tour, we will have free time in the city center where guests may join the optional Fado Show (45 Euros). This will include the opportunity to listen to the emotionally charged and melancholic renditions of Fado, a traditional Portuguese music genre originating from the maritime culture of sailors. After the tour, transfer to our hotel, check into rooms, and enjoy free time to rest.
Day 5: Porto - (Aveiro and Boat Tour) - Salamanca - (Madrid Night Tour) - Madrid
After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, we set out for Salamanca. On the way, guests may join the optional Aveiro and Boat Tour (55 Euros). The tour will showcase Aveiro, known as “The Venice of Portugal” due to its canals where colorful boats operate for tourism purposes, featuring colorful houses and charming local shops. We will see Aveiro Canal, Aveiro Cathedral, and the Art Nouveau Museum during the tour. After the tour in Aveiro, we will enjoy a boat trip. Following that, we continue our journey to Salamanca. Salamanca is an ancient city located along the banks of the Tormes River in northwestern Spain, housing Salamanca University, the first in Spain and one of the oldest in Europe. We will visit its historical and cultural landmarks, including Plaza Mayor, one of the most beautiful squares in Europe with some free time given afterward. After visiting Salamanca, we head to Madrid. Upon arrival, guests who wish may join the optional Madrid Night Tour (35 Euros). We will explore the famous Sol Square, defined as the zero point of Madrid, filled with lively cafes and restaurants and discover Madrid's beauty illuminated at night. After the tour, we will transfer to our hotel, check into rooms, and enjoy free time to rest.
Day 6: Madrid - Barcelona - (Barcelona Evenings Tour)
After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, we will begin our panoramic tour of the city of Madrid. As the capital of Spain and the third largest city in the European Union, Madrid is the political, economic, and cultural center of the country. Our city tour will cover places of interest including Plaza Mayor, Paseyo de la Castellana, the bullfighting arena, Gran Via, Plaza de Espana, Royal Palace, and Puerto de Alcala. After the city tour, a short free time will be given before moving to Barcelona. Once in Barcelona, guests may join the optional Barcelona Evenings Tour (40 Euros, 65 Euros with dinner). During this walking tour, we will explore the significant historical and romantic areas of Barcelona, such as Plaza De Catalunya and La Rambla, all lit up by the evening lights before ending the tour with some free time. After the tour, we will transfer back to our hotel, check into rooms, and enjoy free time to rest.
Day 7: Barcelona - (Barcelona Masterpieces & Figueres Dali Museum and Outlet Tour)
After breakfast, we have a full day of free time. During this free time, guests may join the optional Barcelona Masterpieces & Figueres Dali Museum and Outlet Tour (95 Euros). The first part of our tour will explore the Barcelona Cathedral, Paral-Lel and Gothic neighborhoods, El Born, City Hall, Plaza Real, and La Boqueria marketplace. Afterward, we will head to Figueres, home to the museum dedicated to Salvador Dali, designed by the artist himself to house his works. We will take a brief tour around the town and then visit the Dali Museum, "entry fee included," where we will join a guided art tour showcasing 4,000 of Dali’s works. In the last part of our tour, we will visit La Roca outlet center, known for hosting many famous brands, for enjoyable and affordable shopping. After the outlet tour, we will return to our Barcelona hotel.
Day 8: Barcelona - (Barcelona Icons Tour) – Istanbul
After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, we will transfer to the airport for our flight back to Istanbul. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Barcelona Icons Tour (65 Euros). Our tour begins with a visit to Carmel Hill to enjoy the stunning view of the city, followed by visiting Park Guell, designed by Antoni Gaudi, "entry fee included," which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984 and takes visitors into a fairy tale with its vibrant colors and nature-inspired figures. We will have free time for photos and then see Casa Mila (Gaudi's House) and take a walk around La Sagrada Familia until we complete our tour. After the tour, we arrive at the airport. Following ticket, baggage check-in, and passport control, we will depart for Istanbul on Pegasus Airlines flight PC 1094 at 16:10. We are scheduled to arrive at Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 20:45 local time, marking the end of our tour.
